Mosquito Net for Windows in Dubai: Price Per Window

A mosquito net for windows in Dubai starts at AED 450 per window, measured, made, fitted and warranted. That is the number most people are looking for. The rest of this page explains what sits inside it, what pushes it up, and what you should never be charged extra for.

Every price here includes the free measurement visit. Nothing is ordered until you have a written quote for your actual openings.

What a mosquito net for windows costs in Dubai

Opening Price What that covers
Standard window From AED 450 Measurement, custom frame, mesh, fitting, one year warranty
Single door opening From AED 800 Same, on a heavier door profile
Motorized, roll-up or blind type On quote Priced after the free measurement, by size and mechanism
Re-meshing a panel you already have From AED 300 New mesh and spline fitted on site, frame reused

The full breakdown by screen type sits on the fly screen price list. If the frame is sound and only the mesh has failed, mesh replacement is always cheaper than a new panel.

Prices vary by frame type and size — our full range of mosquito net options for Dubai homes lists what each style involves.

What is already in the price

  • The measurement visit. Free anywhere in Dubai, with no obligation to order.
  • Frame colour. Any colour, matched to your window. Never a surcharge.
  • Mesh colour. Charcoal, grey or black, your choice, at no extra cost.
  • Installation. Fitted by our own team, not subcontracted.
  • One year warranty on the frame, the mesh and every fitting.

If a quote separates any of those out as a line item, you are looking at a different pricing model.

Five things that move the price up

  1. Size beyond a standard opening. AED 450 assumes a normal Dubai window. Once a panel goes past roughly 1.6 m wide it needs a heavier profile and often a centre support. Our guide to standard window sizes in Dubai shows where most openings actually fall.
  2. Mesh grade. Standard fibreglass is included. Fine pollen-grade and pet-resistant mesh cost more because the material costs more, not because of labour.
  3. Mechanism. A fixed panel is the cheapest thing that works. Pleated, roll-up, blind and motorized all add hardware.
  4. Access. An opening that needs scaffolding, a cradle or building permission is priced for the access, not the screen.
  5. Frame condition. If the existing window frame is out of square, the panel has to be made to the real shape rather than a rectangle.

One big panel or two small ones?

People assume one panel is cheaper because it is one item. Usually the opposite is true. Two panels of ordinary size use standard profile; one panel of double the width needs reinforced profile, heavier hardware and sometimes a centre post. On a twin window like the one pictured above, two panels is both cheaper and easier to live with, because you can open one side at the sink and leave the other closed.

Window screens or door screens first?

If the budget only covers part of the house, start with the openings you actually leave open. In most Dubai homes that is the kitchen window and the bedroom window, not the formal living room. Doors cost more per opening, so doing windows first usually buys more usable hours of open-window living per dirham.

Public health guidance is unambiguous about why this is worth doing at all — the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists screens on windows and doors, kept in good repair, as a first-line measure for keeping mosquitoes outdoors.

How to compare two quotes properly

Quotes for the same window can differ by hundreds of dirhams and still be describing different products. Four questions settle it:

  • Is installation included, or is it added later? This is the single most common gap between a low quote and a final invoice.
  • What is the frame made of, and how thick is the wall? Thin aluminium is cheap to make and distorts in Dubai heat.
  • Which mesh, specifically? “Premium mesh” is not a specification. Ask for the material and the weave.
  • What does the warranty cover, and for how long? Ours runs twelve months on frame, mesh and fittings — the detail is on the warranty page.

Which window screen type suits which room

  • Bedroom and living room: a single pleated panel folds to almost nothing when open.
  • Wide twin windows: a double pleated panel meets in the middle and shares the load.
  • Kitchen above a sink: a fixed panel, because you will never have a free hand.
  • Anything you want invisible: a roll-up that disappears into a cassette above the reveal.

All of them are covered on the window fly screen page, with the differences set out side by side.

Common price questions

Is AED 450 per window or for the whole house?

Per window opening. A three-bedroom apartment with six windows is six panels, and multi-opening orders done in one visit are quoted as a package.

Do you charge for the visit if I do not order?

No. The measurement visit is free across Dubai whether you go ahead or not.

Is there a cheaper option than AED 450?

Re-meshing. If you already have a frame in good condition, new mesh in the existing frame starts at AED 300 and takes one visit.

Why is a door so much more than a window?

Size and duty cycle. A door panel is larger, carries hardware, and gets used many times a day, so the profile and the fittings are heavier.

How long from quote to fitted?

Four to seven days. Everything is made in our own Dubai workshop, so there is no import lead time.
