Fly Screen for Windows Dubai — All 6 Window Types Covered
DreamFlyScreen installs retractable fly screens and mosquito nets for windows across every window type found in Dubai homes, apartments, and villas. Every window screen is 100% custom made to your exact window dimensions — no standard sizes, no gaps, no compromise on the seal against insects.
Casement Windows
The most common window type in Dubai villas. Hinged on one side, opens inward or outward. A single retractable pleated screen slides across the full opening and disappears into its cassette when closed.
Best: Single fly screen — From AED 250Sliding Windows
Very common in Dubai apartments. Two panes slide horizontally. We fit the screen to the opening panel only, operating completely independently without interfering with the fixed pane.
Best: Single fly screen — From AED 250Awning Windows
Hinged at the top, opens outward at the bottom. We fit a retractable screen on the interior face of the frame so it does not interfere with the opening mechanism at all.
Best: Fixed or single fly screenFixed Windows
Non-opening windows that still need protection from dust and insects entering through gaps or poorly sealed frames. We fit a fixed aluminium frame screen directly into the window reveal.
Best: Fixed fly screenLouvred Windows
Older-style windows with angled glass slats found in older Dubai properties. We fit a full-frame fixed screen over the entire louvre assembly, covering the full open area on interior or exterior face.
Best: Fixed fly screenTilt-and-Turn Windows
European-style windows that open both ways — common in newer Dubai developments. We fit the screen to the interior face of the frame with a track system that works whether the window is tilted or fully open.
Best: Single fly screen

Unlike temperate climates where mosquitoes are seasonal, Dubai has insect activity throughout the year. The Aedes aegypti mosquito — the species that transmits dengue — is active from March through November. The WHO classifies dengue as a major public health concern in tropical and subtropical regions including the UAE. The cooler months of December to February still see activity around parks, gardens, and irrigation systems in villa communities. Windows left open for ventilation — particularly in the evenings — are the single biggest entry point for mosquitoes in Dubai homes.
Beyond mosquitoes, Dubai windows face two other problems that fly screens solve directly. During shamal wind events in summer, fine desert sand enters through the smallest gaps and coats every surface inside within hours. A fibre mesh screen dramatically reduces sand ingress. Kitchen windows left open during cooking also invite flies from outside — a retractable screen on a kitchen window stays open while you cook and closes instantly when not needed, keeping the room ventilated and insect-free simultaneously.

Fly Screen Mesh Colours for Windows in Dubai
All our window fly screens use a high-density fibre mesh stretched under tension inside the powder-coated aluminium frame. Three mesh colours are available — the mesh material, density, and performance are identical across all three:
The mesh weave is 1.2mm density, UV-stabilised, tested to hold tension in temperatures from 5°C to 55°C — the full range of Dubai's climate — without sagging or distorting over time. We do not use fibreglass mesh, which degrades faster under UAE sun exposure.
Frame Colour — Match Your Window Frame Exactly
Every fly screen frame is powder-coated aluminium, available in any colour. At the free measurement visit, we bring a RAL colour card and match your existing window frame on-site before any order is placed. The frame is then cut, welded, and powder-coated at our Deira workshop before installation. The most common frame colours across Dubai homes are:
Custom Fly Screen for Windows vs Ready-Made — Why Custom Always Wins
Ready-made fly screens — the kind sold in hardware shops — come in standard sizes that never match a Dubai window exactly. UAE home improvement guidelines recommend professionally fitted insect screens for all residential windows. A 5mm gap at the top or either side is enough for a mosquito to enter, making the entire screen pointless. Every opening in a Dubai villa or apartment is a slightly different size because concrete construction does not produce perfectly uniform window reveals.
| Factor | Custom Made (DreamFlyScreen) | Ready-Made (Hardware Shop) |
|---|---|---|
| Fit accuracy | Millimetre-perfect to your window | Standard sizes — always some gap |
| Frame construction | Welded aluminium corners | Clipped plastic corners — flex over time |
| Mesh tension | Stretched under tension, stays taut | Pre-fitted, sags within months |
| Frame colour | Any colour matched to your frame | White or silver only |
| Dubai climate tested | Designed for 55°C and sandstorms | Imported, not tested for UAE conditions |
| Installation included | Professional installation included | DIY — often poorly sealed |
| Starting price | AED 250 | AED 100–200 (but no guarantee of fit) |

We install fly screens on windows across every Dubai community with no area surcharge and no minimum order. Villa communities with large casement and panoramic windows are our most common installation areas — Arabian Ranches, Emirates Hills, Dubai Hills Estate, The Meadows, Al Barari, and Tilal Al Ghaf. Apartment buildings with sliding and casement windows — JVC, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, and Jumeirah — account for a large share of our window installations. Free measurement applies to any property across all Dubai areas.
