How the Blind Screen & Retractable Pleated Fly Screen Frame System Works
The blind screen uses a fixed side frame that is permanently installed in your window or door opening. The outer aluminium frame is secured to the window recess or wall on all sides. Inside this fixed frame, two separate retractable panels sit on independent internal tracks:
- Blind panel track — on one side of the internal frame, the privacy blind is wound on a spring-loaded roller. It pulls out horizontally across the opening and can be locked at any position.
- Fly screen mesh track — on the opposite side of the internal frame, the fiber mesh panel is wound on its own spring-loaded roller. It pulls out horizontally from the other side and locks in position.
- Fixed side channels — slim aluminium channels on the top and bottom of the opening guide both panels as they extend and retract, keeping the edges sealed against insects when the fly screen is in use.
- Retraction — both panels retract inside the frame when released, keeping the opening completely clear when neither function is needed.
